The Challenge
In this case, the challenge to De Viris was to meet the sanitary warm water needs (AQS), heating the environment and heating the pool, with a property divided into three buildings very close to each other, though independent, in the area of Comporta (Alcácer do Sal).
The Solution
The solution developed predicted the installation of a field of solar thermal collectors of high performance type CPC, which allows the heating of two accumulators deposits: one for the AQS and another that works as a deposit of inertia to support air conditioning. During the summer and part of spring and autumn the system also allows pool warming, through a heat exchanger plates, using the surplus energy captured by CPC collectors, since at that time of year the heat is off. In terms of supporting energy, electrical resistance were used, the installation of baseboards (fan-cools high performance, embedded in the ground) was chosen to ensure the distribution of hot air for housing during periods of warming.
The Advantage
The use of integrated solar system will reduce the consumption of conventional energy, with a corresponding impact on the energy bill, and making the most of solar energy captured, which is used for different functions according to the time of the year: AQS and climate (warming) in Winter, AQS and swimming pool in summer. The integration of heating the pool in the solar system has extended the normal period of use of the pool at least two months, apart from increasing the comfort of use for the remaining period of use, making profitable the system as a whole. This project had also benefited from the installation of equipment for the distribution of air conditioning (baseboards) of high performance, excellent integration aesthetics and fully automatic command, solution that ensures the greatest satisfaction, in terms of savings, durability, aesthetics or comfort.
